Meeting with Chief of Diwan, KRG Parliament
On the first day of the trip, our Delegation Members visited the Kurdistan Regional Parliament in Erbil.
They met with Ardalan Sarspi, Chief of Diwan of KRG Parliament, who provided a brief on the legislative functions of the Parliament.
Meeting with Safeen Dizayee, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations, KRG
Key talking points in our Delegation's meeting with Mr. Dizayee included:
Syria and Kurdish Unity: emphasis on KRG’s support for Kurdish groups in Syria to join a new, inclusive Syrian state through dialogue.
Turkey and the Peace Process: importance of Turkey’s peace process; strong support for peaceful solutions, noting that progress in Turkey could positively influence the Kurdish situation in Syria.
Meeting with Alan Hama Saeed Salih, Minister of Education of the KRG
