Baroness Christine Blower

Christine Blower, Baroness Blower, is a British educator, trade unionist, and Labour life peer in the House of Lords. 

She served as the first female General Secretary of the National Union of Teachers (NUT) from 2009 to 2016, leading campaigns on issues such as teacher workload, standardised testing, and opposition to the academies programme. Blower is also known for her international solidarity work, including support for the Kurdish cause and advocacy for educational rights worldwide.
